Update: Shadow was adopted!!!
Update Jan 2011: Shadow is such a special girl she has a second blog about herI was able to take her into the volunteer paddock so she could have fun with some tennis balls. Photos and videos showing the active side of Shadow, can be seen here.
If you’ve already read about Blake, you’ll know it’s been photograph the homeless Staffie week at Poochie Freak.
Shadow is also at Bath Cats and Dogs Home and looking for a wonderful new home of her own. I have only walked her once and she’s already found a little place in my heart. She is teeny (I tend to forget how small girlie Staffies are if I haven’t seen one for a while) and completely adorable.
If I had to name Shadow’s super powers I’d have to include her ability to wiggle her way into your heart within a very short time; those beautiful eyes which would melt all but the coldest of hearts; and the way she hooks you in with her little piggie-like snuffles as she walks along having a good sniff. She really is a super girl who deserves a very special home who will adore her for the beautiful princess she is.
Shadow is a very sweet and friendly little girl who was very happy for me to stroke her (could have done that all day!). She is eight years old (and still very active) and is looking for a home where any children are aged 12+. Her carer feels she could possibly live with a suitable male dog. While walking her for the first time, I found her very responsive, especially when she realised I had some home-made tuna cake . We encountered quite a few other dogs from a varying distance and she didn’t react negatively to any of them.
Along with her very sweet nature, she’s also stunning to look at, don’t you think?
She is a very dainty and pretty little Staffie and wears her pink cupcake collar rather well
And has the cutest little ears!
And the most beautiful eyes …
Shadow would really love to find her special someone(s). It’s not fun being a dog in rescue kennels, especially in the colder weather, no matter how wonderful the rescue is (and it is wonderful).
It was rather hard to drag myself away from this gorgeous girlie
If you are seriously interested in offering Shadow a home, please contact Bath Cats & Dogs Home on 01225 787 321 or complete the Home’s online rehoming form, which can be found here. And let them know that you saw her details at Poochie Freak.
