Adopted ~ Super Tramp ~ What a Darling! ~ Pet Photography

August 2011: Very pleased to let you know that this gorgeous boy has been adopted. Be happy Tramp!

A little while back, I got to meet Tramp, a year old, neutered, male Lurcher, who is at Bath Cats & Dogs Home and waiting for a forever home. I was rather excited at the thought of meeting and photographing him. Tramp is a really sweet and playful young dog who deserves an amazing home. I’m sure someone special will fall for his charms soon …?

Tramp arrived at the rescue as a stray so there is no previous history for him. How anyone could lose him and not desperately search for him, I have no idea, but it means he is ready to find a wonderful new home where he will be truly cherished, always.

Hoping for a treat, perhaps?

Tramp is a young dog who is full of fun and energy and is looking for an active home. He is strong on the lead and will lunge at dogs, so training will need to be continued by his new owners, but his carer says this shouldn’t be a problem, because he is young and responsive to people.

Tramp is playful with other dogs  when off-lead, so he could live with another dog(s) following successful introductions. He would suit living with another active dog – quiet ones need not apply!

Tramp is cuddly, affectionate and loyal …

(my favourite photo of the session!)

… and did I mention handsome?!:)

The rescue says Tramp needs to go to a home where someone is around most of the time, as he gets bored easily and can become destructive. His carer says he is completely kennel clean, so should be houstrained too – though of course anyone taking on a new dog (puppy or adult) should be prepared for a few accidents as the dog settles in.

Tramp can live with children aged 10+, possibly younger if they are used to bouncy dogs – please speak to the rescue. He is not good with cats.

Rather lovely paws!

Looking for a very special home where he will be treasured.

If you feel you can offer Tramp the loving and appropriate home he is looking for, you will need to contact Bath Cats & Dogs Home directly on 01225 787 321, or complete the Home’s online rehoming form, which can be found here. Please let them know that you saw Tramp at Poochie Freak.

You are across the pond! Which may be a good thing for me and the number of dogs both adoptable and my own here at Silverwalk. I have a wonderful hound/dobie/gsp who knows what mix boy, Justus, who would be a GREAT playmate for Tramp. Is Tramp as a lurcher more scent or sight oriented? The hounds I have here are more scent oriented…just they way the are, not by choice. Sigh. What an utterly lovely Super Tramp! (oh, and I loved Upton, too – LOL)

Not sure Roberta, he’d just rather love to be someone’s friend and have fun playing and then snuggling up on the sofa I think :-)

You’re right, he is very lovely :-)

I am a volunteer dog walker at the BCDH, and now regularly walk Tramp. He is halti trained, and no longer pulls ……a fab dog for someone who enjoys long hikes. Tramp loves to play and is gentle in his play. Whoever re-homes Tramp will be one lucky family.

Myself and my husband fell in love with Tramp when we visited BCDH a couple of weeks ago. We would love to offer him a home! WE are dog sitting for my parents in 2 weeks and don’t think it’s fair to have Tramp share his home with another dog so soon after being adopted. We just hope he is still there in 2 weeks time!

Hi Louise, thanks for stopping by. Hope you liked the photos. Good luck with adopting Tramp. Come back and let me know how things go. He’s a lovely boy :-) Angela
