August 2011: this lovely little chap has been adopted – so pleased
I recently met Bronco, a very sweet little boy who is 11 years old, who arrived at Bath Cats & Dogs Home as a stray. He is a little Terrier cross, who looks very “Russelly” (Jack Russell), has the most fabulous ears and is looking for a very special home of his very own.
How could you not adore this little chap?!
Little Bronco loves to be around people and adores cuddles! He is vocal, but he means no harm, it is his way of asking for attention.
Bronco is a very friendly little chap who rather loves his carer!
Bronco’s carer says he is not great with dogs, so should be rehomed as an only dog. He is however a little boy, so should be easy to manage while out and about, on lead.
This gorgeous boy is fine to be left for a couple of hours, during which he will sleep! He could live with a family with sensible children aged 10+. It is not known how he is with cats, so he is looking for a cat-free home .
The rescue notes that Bronco has wobbly legs, which is a neurological condition which does not cause him any pain. He will need a home which is happy to just give him regular, short walks, so that he doesn’t get tired – so someone who would enjoy the company of a fabulous little boy, while not wanting to walk for hours, would be idealBronco is not castrated yet – the rescue will discuss this with the vet, bearing in mind his age.
Bronco really does deserve to find an amazing retirement home where he will be cherished – it’s sad to think of any dog in kennels (no matter how great the rescue), but it’s particularly tough to think of the older dogs waiting for their forever homes. Having adopted two “oldies” myself, I can tell you from the heart that it is a wonderful and rewarding thing to do. Older dogs really should be treasured.
