As some of you know, our oldie Jasper hasn’t been feeling so well lately due to a poorly heart. He is on medication and various holistic treatments, is still eating well and we feel, enjoying life. I have been sitting up with him as late as possible so that he can go outside as late as possible before settling in for the night. Lack of sleep and lots of coffee here! He still has his Jasper cheekiness and is very keen to see what is going on when we are cooking in the kitchen. If he hears the fridge door open he will come in to see what there might be available for him. A friend told me yesterday that he has me wrapped around his little paw. She’s right. Especially the very cute front left white paw that I fell in love with 18 months agoHe needs to take his medication/herbs etc. regularly and if he needs some mackerel or free range chicken to help it all go down, then that’s what he will get. I hope someone takes as good care of me when I’m an oldie!
For the Love of an Oldie ~ Pet Photography UK
Senior dogs are something near and dear to my heart. I have always loved the older dogs and always wanted to cry when someone brought one into our shelter. That’s how I ended up with my last dog, Aspen.

Jasper has such sweet eyes. He is very lucky to have someone like you looking after him. You’re so right…senior dogs are amazing.
Hi Kathy, thank you And you’re right, he does have wonderful eyes

What a blessing to read! Jasper is one lucky loved dog. So wonderful after reading #52 above. Hugs to you and jasper!
Thank you Jasper is certainly much loved.
Yes, Lennox’s story is heartbreaking and quite a number of other dogs have been taken in the UK due to BSL I have followed Lennox’s case since the start and am firmly opposed to BSL. It’s madness to try to identify a dangerous dog using a tape measure.

Jasper may be an oldie but he is still gorgeous. Senior dogs can add so much to one’s life and often are still very interested in learning new things. Just because they are older, doesn’t mean they don’t want to play. I hope one day all older dogs will have just as much love in their lives as Jasper does.
Thank you Mel
