23 Feb 2012: So very pleased to update this blog with the wonderful news that the lovely Buddy has been adopted. Wishing you and your new family much happiness, darling boy. It really was a huge pleasure to meet you.
Hello! This is going to be a sort of mini-blog, because I want to get this dear chap up so you can all admire his gorgeous face and hopefully fall in love with him!
Please meet Buddy, who is at Bath Cats & Dogs Home, UK, awaiting his much deserved chance of a forever home. You can find his rescue page with more information and rescue contact details by clicking HERE. Please let them know that you saw him at Poochie Freak
Buddy rather liked my husband. My husband rather liked Buddy.
According to the rescue, Buddy is a five year old, male large Collie cross. According to me he is a big snuggly bear; he truly is a wonderful boy. He and my husband rather liked each other too, as you can see from the photo above and belowThe Home says he is very loyal and bonds closely with his friends, which I can well believe, given how sweet he was with us.
He is a VERY sweet dog. Really handsome and just desperately wanting and deserving of a special forever home. The rescue says he is a clever boy who is looking for an active home, where he will receive much deserved fuss and attention. He is certainly up for a game with a toy and retrieved very nicely. I suspect after a good walk and play, he’d be very happy to keep you company at home and I bet he would LOVE a cosy snuggle on the sofa, or a warm comfy bed to snuggle up in.
Buddy has had a rough start and is looking for an experienced owner to provide a suitable and loving home for him. I have met him a couple of times now and have really fallen for him and let’s just say, if our own situation had been different … well, my husband and I think he is wonderful.
Isn’t he handsome?!
Buddy can be rehomed with a female dog – you can see him below, with a female dog from the Home. Buddy has been a very kind boy and has been helping this young lady, by being calm and confident around her. \
Buddy’s carer says that he could live with older teenagers, who will respect his space, but be ready to play football with him in the garden. A 16+ kind of family would suit this lovely boy
Waiting for the Safestix toy …!
Buddy does get stressed by other dogs walking past, but he is now kenneled in a screened-off block at the home, which the rescue says is helping, and I’m sure being in his own home would help him settle even more.
Please, if you are a wonderful person and able to offer Buddy a great home, do get in touch with the rescue. He is an adorable boy and it would be fantastic to see him find his special forever home. If you can’t adopt him, would you please consider sharing this blog post (twitter and facebook buttons below) to help boost his chances of finding that special person/family. Thank you
