~ A Poochie Freak summer giveaway! (UK) ~

*This giveaway has now closed. Thank you to those who entered, shared the link etc. I hope to announce the winner within the next day or two :-)*

Hello, I hope you and your animal friends are enjoying the summer sunshine:-)

I  am giving away a copy of the wonderful Hands-on Healing for Pets book by the lovely Margrit Coates, along with a bookmark and a beautiful little Rose Quartz heart (which will come in the sweet little pink pouch you can see in the photo below). If you’re not familiar with Rose Quartz, you can read about it at Rebel Angel.

In order to have a chance of winning, all you need to do is leave a comment under this blog post to let me know why YOU would like to receive these healing goodies. If  you know someone who you think would benefit from and appreciate this gift, you are welcome to nominate them instead (you don’t have to include their name in the comment if you’d rather not). This giveaway is only open to those in the UK, so please only leave a comment if you’re in the UK. If you use facebook, twitter etc., I’d be grateful if you would make use of the like/share buttons under this post too.

Please ensure that you include a valid email address when you submit your comment,  so that I can get in touch if you are the lucky winner for a postal address – your email address won’t be seen by anyone other than me.

The giveaway will remain open until Sunday 18 August 2013 and I’ll announce the winner sometime after that. I may choose the reply that calls to me the most, or if I’m struggling to choose, ask one of my dogs to help – sometimes they’re better at decision making than I am! I’m looking forward to reading about why you would like to win, so please leave me a comment soon:)

Regular visitors to my blog will know how passionate I am about animals and photography, but you may not have known of my involvement with animal healing and my love of crystals, which started many years ago. Well … now you know:)

Poochie Freak, pet photography, book and crystal giveaway, Margrit Coates, animal healing, healing for pets, rose quartz

Update: I’m really sorry if you have had problems accessing my blog today (Friday 3 August) or leaving a comment. Unfortunately, shortly after I published this post, the hosting company started having massive problems which took down thousands of websites around the world, so availability has been very sparse today. I hope you have come back to try again:-)

am leaning more and more to alternative natural remedies/medicines/therapies for my dogs. some years back I had occasion to use coriolus tablets for my dog in late stage lymphoma and do absolutely believe it helped him enormously. now I am fostering a 2yr old dog with very bad arthritis, whose prognosis is not for a long life, I am limited as to what extra ‘medication/therapy’ can be given, not my dog vet has final say I guess (which is scary), so I am now looking at other alternatives for when he needs that little something extra. I am open to other ideas, who knows!

Now I have 3 older dogs and am somewhat concerned at the amount of drugs they are being given to help them with arthritis and other old age ailments.
I have used alternative therapies on myself and my horses but beginning to wonder why I haven’t tried it with my dogs. My dogs have given me so much pleasure over the years and I think that now is the time that I need to give them something back. And what better way than to ease their pain by not giving them drugs but by helping them in other ways.

I have a rescue dog whose mind has been damaged by cruel treatment from previous owners, I want to help her get over her traumatic previous life and I’m hoping hands on healing would help her. xxx

I would love this book because:

I would love to learn more about hands on healing to help my furry family at home.
I have animals with a range of problems – from health to anxious, and would to be able to help them more positively.
My two oldest rabbits are more in need than any of the others, I would love to be able to make them more comfortable – and hopefully for them to live happily longer with me.
