Ingredients for a cosy dog bed ~ Pet Photography UK

1 ~ Locate a dog bed. It doesn’t have to be the biggest or best dog bed ever – even an old chewed one is fine. You can use the sofa again later.

2 ~ Add a couple of dog duvets/blankets to make the bed much cosier.

3 ~ Find a larger dog to act as the next layer of cosiness. A black Labrador can serve this purpose well. Preferably one who is chilling out and isn’t going to leap up suddenly.

4 ~ Remove towel from nearby radiator and place carefully over the Labrador (or your substitute dog) in the area you wish to lie.

5 ~ Carefully climb on top, taking care not to aggravate said Labrador, or you could find yourself without a layer of cosiness.

6 ~ Pose for the camera and await breakfast.

NB. No black Labradors were annoyed or harmed in the making of this recipe.

Vote for Oldies Club ~ VetUK

Oldies Club, a wonderful UK charity which rescues and rehomes older dogs, has been included in a facebook vote being run this month by VetUK, to win £300 worth of products!

If you are a facebook user, would you please consider taking a few seconds to vote for Oldies Club? You just need to click on this link, select Oldies Club from the list and click on the Vote Now button.

I am, as some of you know already, involved with Oldies Club, which does an amazing job of rescuing older dogs and promoting the general adoption of oldies. Our darling, much missed, Jasper came to us as an emergency foster for the charity and stayed – and he really was given the chance to smile again …

She is my Sunshine ~ Pet Photography

She is my Sunshine … you can’t see it, but she wears a collar with the wording You are my Sunshine across it.

I posted a few days ago that she was feeling a bit poorly. She got much more poorly and I had to have the emergency vet come out at about 3am on Sunday morning. Not fun for any of us. Thankfully after a thorough check-over, she was given a couple of injections and I was left with some tablets to give her to help her tummy and she was allowed to stay home (I’d packed her a bag with her blanket, a t-shirt of mine etc. in case she had to be admitted).

Very pleased to say that although she didn’t want to eat until sometime Sunday evening, the medicine and healing (Reiki and help from the wonderful Distant Healing Network) she’s been receiving, helped greatly and she started improving. I won’t go into the gory details but all is now well and I am SO very happy and grateful. She’s one in a million. Billion perhaps. I adore her, this little Labrador girlie love of my life. Thanks very much to everyone who offered their help and support in some way, including my wonderful neighbour:)
