Sunshine

This photograph, to me, sums up all that is good – love the happiness shining through. Got to love Labs ♥

Oldies Club friends reunited …

… well sort of. Three of the four dogs met for a walk earlier in the year, just after Jasper arrived.

Given that Oldies Club is a fairly small – but perfectly formed – dog rescue charity and our dogs are rehomed all over the UK, it seemed pretty cool to have four Oldies Club dogs on the same little walk. A walk arranged for one of my dogs gotcha day (to those not in the know, that’s the day a dog comes home from rescue).

I took the opportunity to try for a group shot. Three of the four dogs were pretty obliging. Jess the collie wasn’t quite so keen – her ball was far more appealing.

Here you can see from the left: Joe, Trixie (on bench), Jasper (saying hello to Trixie) and Jess at the front.

The Gotcha Day girl …

Jasper’s new friend Louie (who rather liked Jasper!):

And Jasper’s paw prints after he was made to rinse his muddy feet in the river – he wasn’t overly impressed but the paw prints are cute …

Spring has sprung

It’s been wonderful here today, sunshine really is good for my soul. Photography is too – I find it very healing. Hard to explain but I’m sure some of you will understand.

Jasper enjoyed a wonderful walk again with doggie friends and was thrilled to have a good run around. The sun helped make up for all the mud we were covered in too!

A few photographs from today …

They make me smile – I hope you enjoy them too:)

Jasper runs!

For those that have been following Jasper’s life since he arrived here, we decided to let him off-lead yesterday as he has really settled in so well and become so much more responsive.

Jasper was a very good boy and came back when called – and was rewarded with lots of praise and some home-made tuna cake. He looked very happy running around, here are some of the photographs I took.

Wonderful to see him running around with a big grin on his face:)

Ready, steady … pounce!

I love this photograph, taken yesterday.

You may not be able to tell, but he was just waiting to pounce on another dog in play – and a moment later that’s exactly what he did!
